A new species of Trochotaia (Caenogastropoda: Viviparidae) from Yunnan, China

Abstract

A new species of Viviparidae, Trochotaia pyramidella n. sp., is described from freshwater ponds in the Yousuo village of Er-Yuan County, Yunnan, southwestern China on the basis of shell, radula and anatomical characters. Trochotaia pyramidella is the first report of a species of this genus from China.
