Revision of the Lethrus (Heteroplistodus) crenulatus-species group (Coleoptera: Geotrupidae: Lethrinae). Part 1: species similar to L. tschitscherini Semenov, 1894

Abstract

The Lethrus crenulatus-species group is discussed. Lethrus (Heteroplistodus) ikabaki A. Shapovalov, Kolov, Hillert & Král, sp. nov. is described from China (Xinjiang Province), L. (H.) heptapotamicus A. Shapovalov, Bagaturov, Hillert & Král, sp. nov. and L. (H.) tengri A. Shapovalov, Hillert & Král, sp. nov. are described from southeastern Kazakhstan. A key to the species distributed in the Ili Intermontane Basin is provided. Relevant characteristics are illustrated with photographs.
