New species of the genus Dichomeris Hübner, 1818 (Lepidoptera, Gelechiidae) from China

Abstract

Seventeen new species of the genus Dichomeris Hübner, 1818 are described from China: D. apicidilatata Li, sp. nov., D. basispina Li, sp. nov., D. bifurcellata Li, sp. nov., D. emarginata Li, sp. nov., D. extraloba Li, sp. nov., D. folialoba Li, sp. nov., D. fuscimaculata Li, sp. nov., D. lobafurca Li, sp. nov., D. mediseparata Li, sp. nov., D. melanimacula Li, sp. nov., D. postitriangula Li, sp. nov., D. pueriensis Li, sp. nov., D. reclinativa Li, sp. nov., D. robustispina Li, sp. nov., D. similisexafurca Li, sp. nov., D. simplicella Li, sp. nov. and D. zhengi Li, sp. nov. In addition, the female of D. aculata Park, 2001 is described for the first time. Images of adults and illustrations of genitalia are provided. Diagnostic characters are given to distinguish the new species from their allies.
