Abstract

The chalcosiid genus Acampylotes Yang, 1987 is revised. It is found to be a valid genus and recharacterised based on genitalia structures of both sexes. A neotype is designated for the type species, Acampylotes guianus Yang & Chen, 1987. Seven new species are described: A. chenluae Huang & Horie sp. nov. (China: Northwest Yunnan), A. uedai Horie & Huang sp. nov. (Myanmar: Kachin), A. gunteri Huang & Horie sp. nov. (China: Southwest Sichuan), A. stellata Huang & Horie sp. nov. (China: Northwest Yunnan), A. magnifica Huang & Horie sp. nov. (China: Northwest Yunnan), A. minoshimai Huang & Horie sp. nov. (Myanmar: Kachin) and A. wenhaoi Huang & Horie sp. nov. (China: Northwest Yunnan & Southwest Sichuan). A lectotype is designated for Campylotes philomena Oberthür, 1923 and a new combination is established: Acampylotes philomena (Oberthür, 1923) comb. nov. The adult and genitalia of the aforementioned taxa are illustrated and a checklist of the genus is provided.
