The genus Holochlora Stål (Orthoptera, Tettigoniidae) in Gaoligong Mountains, China

Abstract

Holochlora Stål, 1873 is one of the most diverse genera within the subfamily Phaneropterinae in Asia. It is widely distributed from eastern Asia to Southeast Asia and southeastern Africa. Currently, 13 species have been recorded in China, yet there is nothing known on Holochlora in the Gaoligong Mountain region, which is considered for high insect diversity. This study describes three new species from this area, namely H. qinlangdanga sp. nov., H. fugonga sp. nov. and H. gaoligonga sp. nov.. Necessary illustrations and habitat images of new species are presented; the distribution of the genus Holochlora in Gaoligong Mountains is mapped.
