Abstract

A new species of the owlfly genus Protidricerus van der Weele, 1909, is described from Kerala, India. The new species, Protidricerus albocapitatus sp. nov., is compared to Protidricerus elwesii (McLachlan, 1891) from India and Protidricerus exilis (McLachlan, 1894) from China. The distribution and flight period of Protidricerus species from India are provided.
