The genus Alcis Curtis, 1826 from Xizang, China, including a new species (Lepidoptera: Geometridae: Ennominae)

Lepidoptera Geometridae morphology taxonomy

Abstract

The species of Alcis Curtis,1826 in Xizang, China are reviewed, including Alcis linzhiensis Pan & Yu sp. nov., A. decussata (Moore, 1868), A. limbui Sato, 1994), A. sinadmissa (Wehrli, 1943), A. extinctaria (Eversmann, 1851), and A. maculata (Moore, 1868). The adult, and male and female genitalia of Alcis linzhiensis Pan & Yu sp. nov. are described in detail. Adult and genital images of the other five species of Alcis Curtis, 1826 are also provided.
