A review of the genus Afrotelphusa Bidzilya & Mey, 2011 (Lepidoptera, Gelechiidae), with description of three new species

Abstract

The Afrotropical genus Afrotelphusa Bidzilya & Mey, 2011 is revised. Four species are recognized as valid, of which three are described here as new: A. butarensis sp. nov. (Rwanda), A. furcatella sp. nov. (Kenya, Ethiopia) and A. inopinata sp. nov. (South Africa). An identification key to all species of the genus is provided. Wing pattern and genitalia of all species are illustrated in detail.
