Description of two new species of Indophanes Banks, 1940 (Neuroptera, Myrmeleontidae) from India

Neuroptera Antlion taxonomy new species distribution India

Abstract

Two new species of Indophanes Banks, 1940, Indophanes keralaensis sp. nov. and Indophanes sahyadriensis sp. nov. are described from India. The number of Indophanes species known from India has increased to five. An identification key for all recorded Indophanes species from India is provided. Moreover, the distribution of the five species reported from India is also plotted.
