Plecoptera Stonefly Kamimuria type synonym

Abstract

The types of three poorly known species of Kamimuria Klapálek, 1907, originally described from Yunnan Province, southwestern China, (K. acutispina Wu, 1973, K. nigrita Wu, 1962 and K. trapezoidea Wu, 1962), are reexamined based on the type series. After comparison with the type series of K. nigrita Wu, 1962 and recently collected specimens, we consider K. atra Sivec & Stark 2008 and K. guangxia Li & Wang, 2013 (in Wang et al., 2013) as subjective junior synonyms of K. nigrita. Supplementary descriptions of K. trapezoidea are provided on types and new material. Kamimuria acutispina is herein placed as a subjective junior synonym for K. trapezoidea.
