Abstract
A new species of the genus Cryptoperla Needham, 1909, C. bisaccata sp. nov., is described from Shaanxi Province, China. Cryptoperla pentagonalis Zwick & Sivec, 1980, previously was known only from India and Nepal, is reported from the Xizang Autonomous Region for the first time. This represents a new country record for China and new Peltoperlidae record for Xizang Autonomous Region. Illustrations and color images are provided for each species together with a morphology-based comparison with related congeners.
