Abstract

The subgenus Uresipedilum Oyewo & S ther of Polypedilum Kieffer in China is revised. Ten new species, P. (U.) basilarum, P. (U.) breviplumosum, P. (U.) bullum, P. (U.) crassiglobum, P. (U.) dilatum, P. (U.) infundibulum, P. (U.) lateralum, P. (U.) medium, P. (U.) prominens, P. (U.) xuei, are described from male imagines. P. (U.) paraviceps Niitsuma and P. (U.) surugense Niitsuma are new records to China. P. (U.) convictum (Walker), P. (U.) cultellatum Goetghebuer are reexamined. P. (U.) cultellatum, P. (U.) paraviceps and P. (U.) surugense are new to the Oriental Region. A key to male imagines of Chinese species is presented. The subgeneric diagnosis is emended.
