Abstract
The rove beetle Giraffaenictus eguchii Maruyama, 2008, a fully myrmecoid myrmecophile, hitherto known only from a single male specimen collected over two decades ago in northern Vietnam, is herein recorded from China for the first time. The female of G. eguchii is described for the first time. Illustrations of the habitus and diagnostic characters are provided, together with a distribution map.
