Abstract

The spider genus Baiyuerius established by Zhao, B. Li & S. Q. Li, 2023 contains 10 species distributed in China and Vietnam. In this paper, twelve new species of the genus Baiyuerius are described from China: B. arcticus sp. nov. (♂), B. carcharus sp. nov. (♂♀), B. chongzu sp. nov. (♂♀), B. cuii sp. nov. (♂), B. digitus sp. nov. (♂), B. fengbini sp. nov. (♀), B. jiquanyui sp. nov. (♂), B. imitatus sp. nov. (♀), B. loong sp. nov. (♂♀), B. shaanensis sp. nov. (♀), B. shenyunxiaoi sp. nov. (♀) and B. wenshanensis sp. nov. (♀). The male of Baiyuerius daxi Zhao, B. Li & S. Li, 2023 is described for the first time. Additionally, we transfer one previously described Coelotes Blackwall, 1841 species and one Draconarius Ovtchinnikov, 1999 species: C. processus Xu & Li, 2007 and D. subyanlingensis (Liu & Xu, 2020) to Baiyuerius. All 24 Baiyuerius species are divided into five morphological species groups.
