First record of the genus Orbellia (Diptera: Heleomyzidae) in China with descriptions of two new species

Abstract

The genus Orbellia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 is a small genus within the family Heleomyzidae and the subfamily Heleomyzinae. This genus has not been previously recorded in China. Two new species of Orbellia are described from China: Orbellia zhangi sp. nov. and Orbellia fusca sp. nov., expanding the known diversity of the genus in Asia. A key to the Asian species of Orbellia is presented.
