Abstract

Two new species of Enantiobuninae (Opiliones: Neopilionidae) are described from New Zealand, Accensus brevicrus new genus and species and Maikukunui tokerau new genus and species, and included in an updated morphological phylogenetic analysis of Australasian Enantiobuninae. The genera Megalopsalis and Forsteropsalis as previously recognised are not supported as monophyletic. Classification of the Enantiobuninae is revised in view of morphological data and comparison with prior molecular phylogenetic studies. Megalopsalis is divided between three morphologically diagnostic subgenera, including M. (Intutoportula) new subgenus and M. (Spinicruroides) new subgenus. Megalopsalis nigricans is transferred to Spinicrurellum new genus and M. triascuta to Triascutum new genus. Forsteropsalis is also subdivided with F. grimmetti assigned to Pakaka new genus, F. inconstans to Shelob new genus, F. pureora to Puwere new genus and F. photophaga and related taxa to Ungoliant new genus. Dasylobus australis is provisionally recognised as Forsteropsalis australis new combination. A key is provided to New Zealand species of Palpatores.
