A new cicada species of the genus Purana Distant, 1905 (Hemiptera: Cicadidae), with a key to the Purana species from Vietnam

Hemiptera Cicadinae Cicadini Purana trui new species morphology taxonomy

Abstract

A new species of Purana Distant, 1905 (Hemiptera: Cicadidae) is described from Vietnam: Purana trui sp. nov. Photos of the male genitalia and habitus, a distribution map and notes on the biology of the species are provided. A key to the species of the genus Purana from Vietnam is presented.
