Mollusca Enidae Pupinidius new species China

Abstract

The genus Pupinidius Moellendorff, 1901 is reviewed based on the examination of the majority of Chinese species. Fourteen out of sixteen known species and subspecies are re-described, most conchologically and some with details of the internal anatomy. Pupinidius latilabrum (Annandale, 1923), once regarded as a synonym of P. gregorii, is reestablished. An additional species, Pupinidius wenxian sp. nov. is described from South Gansu, West China.
