Orthoptera Tetrigoidea Scelimeninae Falconius review new species

Abstract

A total of sixteen species of Falconius Bolivar were systematically researched in this paper. One species, Falconius longicornis sp.nov. is described as new to science. This species can be easily distinguished from other species of the genus by lateral margins of vertex sharp teeth produced upwards, exserted above the eyes surface in profile. An updated key to the species of Falconius is presented. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University, Xi’an, China.
