The Stegana coleoptrata species group (Diptera: Drosophilidae) from mainland China

Diptera China coleoptrata group new species Stegana taxonomy

Abstract

Nine species of the Stegana coleoptrata species group are found from mainland China, including six newly described: S. (Stegana) melanostoma sp. nov., S. (S.) pililobasa sp. nov. and S. (S.) psilolobosa sp. nov. from Hubei Province; S. (S.) arcygramma sp. nov., S. (S.) melanostigma sp. nov. and S. (S.) monodonata sp. nov. from Yunnan Province. A key to all species of the group from the mainland China is provided.
