A review of Chinese Phyllocoptes Nalepa (Acari: Eriophyoidea: Eriophyidae: Phyllocoptinae) with descriptions of five new species

Abstract

Five new species of the genus Phyllocoptes Nalepa from China are described: Phyllocoptes euonymusae sp. nov. on Euonymus alatus (Thunb.) Sieb. (Celastraceae); Phyllocoptes asperatae sp. nov. and Phyllocoptes dangchangi sp. nov. on Picea asperata Mast. (Pinaceae); Phyllocoptes japonicae sp. nov. on Lonicera japonica Thunb. (Caprifoliaceae) and Phyllocoptes lyciumi sp. nov. on Lycium chinense Mill. (Solanaceae). All species described here are vagrant on the undersurface of host leaves.
