Abstract

Acrocerids are specialized spider-parasitoid flies rarely collected and scarcely represented in entomological collections. Thirty species of Acroceridae are known to occur in Brazil, five belonging to the genus Exetasis Walker. Herein is proposed a new species, Exetasis teresensis sp. nov., from the central corridor of the Atlantic Forest, in southeastern Brazil. Also, new records and a new data on morphological variation of Exetasis eickstedtae Schlinger are presented.
