A new species of Carinata Li & Wang (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Evacanthinae: Evacanthini) from Vietnam with a key to species

Abstract

Carinata bisecta sp. nov. is described and illustrated based on specimens collected in Xuan Son National Park, Vietnam. The new species is unusual in having a reduced ventral pygofer appendage and an elongate, branched ventral process on the aedeagus. A key to species of Carinata from Vietnam and adjacent regions is provided.
