Abstract
Two new pseudoscorpion species of the genus Ceriochernes are described from caves in the states of Bahia (northeastern Brazil) and Minas Gerais (southeastern Brazil). Ceriochernes spelaeofoliaceus sp. nov. and Ceriochernes foliaceospeluncarum sp. nov. are morphologically distinct from all other species of the genus, with both exhibiting possible troglomorphic traits that suggest a restriction to cave habitats. In addition, we provide habitat descriptions for the new species, discuss potential threats to their survival, and present a global distribution map for the genus.
