Abstract
A new species of Lepidostoma Rambur is described and illustrated from the Indian Himalayas, namely Lepidostoma kjeri sp. nov under Lepidostoma ferox branch. Lepidostoma meghalayense Saini and Parey, 2011 is synonymized with Lepidostoma brueckmanni (Malicky & Chantramongkol 1994). With these changes, the genus Lepidostoma Rambur is now represented by 50 species from India.
