Abstract
The cicada genus Pacarina Distant, 1905a is reported to inhabit the southern Nearctic and northern Neotropical regions. Historically, specimens have been classified into various taxa by what appears to be based primarily on size. Morphometric analyses show that some species of Pacarina previously determined to be different species, in fact, represent new species. Pacarina quasipuella sp. nov. and Pacarina puellula sp. nov. are described as new. Southern records of Pacarina puella Davis, 1923 and Pacarina schumanni Distant, 1905c from Panamá and Costa Rica are considered to be Pacarina quasipuella sp. nov. reducing the known distribution of those species.
