Abstract
A new species of stag beetle, Prismognathus prossi n. sp., is described from Xizang (Tibet), China. The new species is compared with similar species, from which it differs in the peculiar shape of the eye canthus. The status of the type specimen of P. branczicki Nonfried is discussed. A checklist of the known species and subspecies of Prismognathus Motschulsky is also given.References
