Abstract

Based on specimens from Chamela (Jalisco), deposited in Mexico’s National Insect Collection, I redescribe Semiothisa baegerti Rindge, 1976 which was described originally from Baja California Sur. The species’ distribution range is expanded to document records across the Californian Gulf from Chamela (Jalisco). Furthermore, the species is transferred to Frederickia Rajaei, Haussmann & Sihvonen, Frederickia baegerti (Rindge 1976) comb. nov., together with another species of the previously recognized genus Rindgea Ferguson, F. oaxacana (Schaus 1898) comb. nov.
