Orthoptera Ajorama Apayao Exsulandrevus Gryllidae new genus new species

Abstract

The Philippines has a high diversity of Orthoptera. It is also expected that more species are still awaiting discovery owing to fragmentary sampling of the archipelago, and this includes the Landrevinae, or the bark crickets. Apayao is a province in the northernmost part of Luzon and the Philippines where little is known about the orthopterans. Based on recent sampling in the municipality of Calanasan, one new genus and two new species of Landrevinae are described here: Ajorama tacita sp. nov. and Exsulandrevus apayao gen. et sp. nov.
