Abstract

The genus Alcinoeta E. Strand, 1929 (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Tentyriini) is reviewed. Two new species are described: Alcinoeta noctivaga N. Bekchanov & Nabozhenko sp. nov. from Uzbekistan (Amudarya delta, coast of former Aral Sea and Ustyurt Plateau) and A. seyedabadii Nabozhenko & Eshraghi Mofrad sp. nov. (Haj Aligholi desert, Semnan Province, Iran). The lectotype of Alcinoe helopioides Ménétriés, 1849 is designated. A key and map of distribution for all species of Alcinoeta are given. The unusual structure of metathorax in the genera Alcinoeta, Dengitha Reitter, 1887 and Eschatostena Kelejnikova, 1977 is discussed. A key to genera of wingless Tentyriini of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia is compiled for the first time.
