Rhopaloscatopse gen. nov. from Baltic amber, with description of three new species (Diptera, Scatopsidae)

Abstract

A new genus, Rhopaloscatopse gen. nov., is erected for three new species, R. podenasi sp. nov. R. krzeminskorum sp. nov. and R. szadziewskii sp. nov. from Eocene Baltic amber. A key for the identification of the species is provided. The placement of Rhopaloscatopse in subfamily Psectrosciarinae is discussed.
