Abstract
Aeschnophlebia bidoupi Cognato & Vu, sp. nov. is described from Bidoup Núi Bà National Park, Lâm Đồng, Province, Vietnam. DNA-based phylogenies placed it within the tamdaoenisis-group. A unique combination of morphological diagnostic characters and diagnostic COI and ITS2 DNA sequences distinguish this new species from all other Aeschnophlebia Selys species. This species represents the earliest collection date of an adult and the most southern distribution for the genus.
