New species of the porrostomine genus Isuarhynchus (Coleoptera: Lycidae) from the Solomon Islands, with a taxonomic note

Abstract

Two new species of the metriorrhynchine genus Isuarhynchus Kusy, Motyka, Bilkova & Bocak, 2022, I. geiseri sp. nov. and I. telnovi sp. nov., are described from Guadalcanal (the Solomon Islands). Cladophorus francoisi Bourgeois, 1897 is transferred from Cladophorus Guérin-Méneville, 1830 to Isuarhynchus as Isuarhynchus francoisi (Bourgeois, 1897), comb. nov. The total number of Lycidae registered in the area is thus raised to 23 species. A checklist of net-winged beetles of the Solomon Islands is provided.
