Abstract
Recently, He et al. (2015) discussed the nomenclatural problems on the names Salix wangiana K.S. Hao (1936: 81) and S. wangiana var. tibetica C. Wang & C.F. Fang (1979: 103). They concluded that the name S. wangiana was validated by Fang & Skvortsov (1998: 469) and is a synonym of S. rhododendroides C. Wang & C.Y. Yu in Anonymous (1974: 598), and S. wangiana var. tibetica is an invalidly published name and the name S. zangica var. tibetica C. Wang & C.F. Fang ex Chao (1985: 7) is validly published for the variety. However, it was missed that the names S. wangiana and S. wangiana var. tibetica have already been validly published by Chow et al. (1984).
