Abstract

Gynnidomorpha parvana (Kawabe, 1980) is redescribed with the first record of female individuals from Hokkaido and Honshu, Japan. In addition, G. pista (Diakonoff, 1984) is newly recorded in Kyushu, Japan. The diagnoses and figures of the male and female genitalia of these species are provided. These two Gynnidomorpha species were inferred to be related to G. permixtana, G. minimana, and G. luridana based on their DNA barcode sequences. In addition, relationships between two species groups (i.e., the G. permixtana-minimana-luridana group and the G. alismana-vectisana group) and among their constituent species within the genus Gynnidomorpha were examined using genital morphology and DNA barcode sequences.
