Abstract

The genus Kamius Korotyaev, 1996 is revised based on morphology. The genus now comprises 17 species, 14 of which are described herein as new to science: K. kozlovi (Korotyaev, 1979) (type species), K. concavus (R. Zhang, 1993), comb. nov., K. variegatus (Kollar & L. Redtenbacher, 1844), comb. nov., K. ningnanicus sp. nov., K. limingiensis sp. nov., K. weixiensis sp. nov., K. kunmingicus sp. nov., K. korotyaevi sp. nov., K. nixiensis sp. nov., K. jiulongicus sp. nov., K. orlovi sp. nov., K. martensi sp. nov., K. kataevi sp. nov., K. molchanovi sp. nov., K. dolpoensis sp. nov., K. smetanai sp. nov. and K. fabriziae sp. nov. New species are described from Nepal and China. Within the genera of Asiatic Blosyrini Kamius are distinguished by the following features: mesonotum disc sculpture, armament of the endophallus, collum of the spermateca consisting a narrow tubiform antecollum and a strongly widened postcollum. The structure of the spermatheca in Kamius is similar to the genus Dactylotinomorphus Davidian, 2021. Blosyrodes variegatus (Kollar & L. Redtenbacher, 1844) and Dactylotus concavus R. Zhang, 1993 are transferred to the genus Kamius (K. variegatus, comb. nov. and K. concavus, comb. nov. respectively). A key to all 17 species of the genus Kamius is given. Kamius korotyaevi sp. nov. was collected at nighttime on Artemisia sp.
