Abstract

Sinosenecio peltatus (Asteraceae, Senecioneae), a new species from Yangchun County in southwestern Guangdong, China, is illustrated and described. It is distinguished in the genus in the peltate leaves, a character previously never recorded in Sinosenecio. We also report the floral micromorphology, achene surface features and chromosome number of the new species.
