Abstract

Ligustrum L. (Oleaceae) is a genus of erect, deciduous or evergreen shrubs, sometimes forming small or medium-sized trees. It comprises about fourty species and is distributed in Asia, Europe and Australia (Chang & Miau 1986, Chang et al. 1996, Qin 2009). The genus was recently studied by Qin (2009) with 23 species recognized in China.
