Nomenclatural novelties and typifications in Spinopalmoxylon, Sapindoidea and Carpolithes (fossil Magnoliidae) from central European Paleogene and Neogene

HEINRICH WINTERSCHEID

Abstract

The fossil species Spinopalmoxylon teutonicum (Arecaceae), Sapindoidea margaritifera, S. globosa (Sapindaceae), and Carpolithes mettenii (Magnoliidae inc. sed.) from the central European Paleogene and Neogene are typified. Furthermore, the names Spinopalmoxylon teutonicum (basionym: Chamaerops teutonica) and Carpolithes mettenii (basionym: Pistacia mettenii) are here proposed as new combinations.
